Xplore Holidays began at a wooden table in Siliguri with two friends, a stack of maps and a stubborn belief that travel is better when someone who has walked the route writes it for you.
A team of eleven, quietly obsessed with the details.
We are travel designers, ex-hoteliers, a photographer and two full-time route researchers. What holds us together is a preference for the specific over the generic — the exact tea garden, the right time of day, the guide who tells the honest story.
Every journey we send out has been walked, driven or sailed by someone on the team. That is why our itineraries are shorter to write and longer to remember.

Xplore Holidays opens as a two-person studio in Siliguri, planning weekend trips into the Darjeeling hills.

The team grows to seven. First cross-border journeys into Bhutan and slow-paced circuits through Sikkim.

Through the pandemic we redesigned every itinerary from scratch and committed to smaller groups and locally owned stays.
